Ornella Muti is an Italian actress born on March 9, 1955 in Rome as Francesca Romana Rivelli. She has an older sister, Claudia, and is the daughter of a Neapolitan father and Estonian mother. Muti began modeling as a teenager and made her film debut in 1970 in La moglie più bella (aka The Most Beautiful Wife). She has since appeared in both Italian and British films, including Flash Gordon (1980) and Oscar (1991). She is also known for appearing in a TV commercial for Giovanni Panzani pasta. Muti has been married twice, first to fellow actor Alessio Orano (1975–1981) and then to Federico Facchinetti (1988–1996). She has three children: Naike Rivelli (b. 1974), Andrea, and Carolina. Since 1998, Muti has been in a relationship with plastic surgeon Stefano Piccolo. In 1994, she was voted "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World" by a worldwide poll of readers of the magazine Class. In 2008, Muti launched her own line of jewellery, with shops in Paris, Milan, Rome, Riga, Moscow, and Almaty. She also insured her breasts for $350,000.
