Nelly Kim Furtado is a renowned Canadian singer, songwriter, and actress who has sold over 20 million albums and singles worldwide. Her debut album, Whoa, Nelly!, was a huge success, spawning two hit singles, "I'm Like a Bird" and "Turn Off the Light". The former won a Juno Award for Single of the Year and a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. In 2003, Furtado released Folklore, which featured the international singles "Powerless (Say What You Want)", "Try", and "Força".
