Carey Hannah Mulligan is an English actress who made her film debut in 2005 as Kitty Bennet in Pride & Prejudice. She then went on to appear in numerous British programs, including Doctor Who as Sally Sparrow. In 2007, she made her Broadway debut in The Seagull to critical acclaim. In 2009, Mulligan gained widespread recognition for her leading role as Jenny in An Education, for which she won a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award. Following her breakthrough role, she starred in the dramatic films The Greatest and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, as well as Never Let Me Go, all in 2010.
